Elachi Loaf With Burfee Glacé

Soft, decadent & spongy Elachi loaf...

Ingredients

250g butter

1 & 1/2 cups castor sugar

3 cups sifted cake flour

1 tsp fine elachi powder

3 tsp baking powder

1 & 1/2 cups milk

5 eggs

Burfee glace icing:

1/2cup icing sugar

1/2 cup klim

1 tblsp very soft butter

2 tblsp boiled milk

Pinch of ground elachi

Rose essence to taste

Method

Add butter and castor sugar and beat till white

Add in 3 cups sifted cake flour

1 tsp fine elachi powder

3 tsp baking powder

Beat adding in 1 & 1/2 cups milk

Then add in 5 eggs 1 at a time and beat till smooth

Bake at 180 for +-60 minutes. ( I used 2 loaf pans)

Burfee glace icing

Mix all ingredients until smooth and creamy

Top with burfee glace icing

Sprinkle coloured almonds
